Responsibilities
This is a full-time, 12-month Adult Health Nursing faculty position teaching in the Undergraduate/Prelicensure Program. Faculty may elect different degrees of emphasis on the teaching, service, and scholarship components of the faculty role based on rank. This is not a remote position.
The successful candidate should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Knowledge and insights gained from the exploration of his/her area of specialization.
- Ability to communicate to professional peers.
- Ability to perform successfully the professional duties assigned.
- Ability to engage in scholarship and research.
- Ability to demonstrate academic growth.
Candidates for this faculty position with expertise in Adult Health Nursing are encouraged to apply. Acute care or critical care is preferred.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in nursing at the time employment begins.
- Must have current clinical skills.
- Candidates must hold an unencumbered Alabama RN license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree or doctorate degree conferred by date of hire.
- Teaching experience in a baccalaureate nursing program and certified in clinical specialty.
