ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE (CECS)
CECS combines an international-standard curriculum with state-of-the-art facilities and strategic industry partnerships within the Vingroup ecosystem. In collaboration with seven research centers, CECS focus areas include Smart Grid, Microelectronics and VLSI Design, RF Design, Industrial Electronics, Embedded Processors, Renewable Energy, Sensor Networks, Wireless Communications, and Control and Optimization.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This full-time, research-focused position sits within CECS, with the opportunity to collaborate with the Environmental Intelligence Research Cluster on areas such as high-power wireless charging for electric vehicles, AI-enabled digital twin energy systems, intelligent power electronics, autonomous robotic and vehicle systems, IC design and semiconductors, circular battery and sustainable materials, and green hydrogen and fuel cell catalysis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead high-impact research with strong translational outcomes, publishing in top-tier journals and securing competitive external funding
- Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and active engagement in academic events
- Contribute to innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer, including commercialization
- Develop, plan, and deliver high-quality, accredited curricula for undergraduate and/or graduate programs
- Prepare course materials, deliver lectures and tutorials, assess student performance, and supervise academic projects
- Supervise research students and mentor junior faculty
- Contribute to university service, including committee work, faculty recruitment, accreditation, and program development
- Support initiatives aligned with VinUni's Vision 2030
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) from a prestigious university in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Embedded Systems
- Demonstrated teaching ability and commitment to student-centered, active learning
- Evidence of scholarly achievement or strong potential, through publications, international conference engagement, or research collaborations
- Commitment to developing an independent, externally funded research program
- Experience in multinational, multicultural, or start-up environments highly valued
RANK-SPECIFIC REQUIRENTS
- Assistant Professor — postdoctoral or equivalent experience preferred; demonstrated potential for independent research and effective teaching; international research engagement an advantage
- Associate Professor — extensive, recognized teaching excellence; sustained publication record; 5+ years securing research funding as Principal Investigator; active participation in professional societies
- Professor — internationally recognized research leadership; 10+ years of high-impact, funded research; keynote presentations or research awards; distinguished teaching and mentorship
