The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine invites applications for Program Director (PD) of the UC Health West Chester Family Medicine Residency (UC WCFMR). This is a full-time clinician educator and department leader position with 60% protected administrative time and a substantive clinical presence. The PD holds ACGME-delegated authority for the residency and reports directly to the Department Chair.
Essential Functions
Clinician Educator: Innovate, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive family medicine curriculum aligned with ACGME competencies and American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM or AOBFM) certification requirements. Conduct semi-annual resident reviews, develop individualized learning plans, and provide career advising. Lead full-cycle resident recruitment in compliance with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) policies.
Program Director (ACGME-Delegated Authority): Ensure ongoing compliance with ACGME Program Requirements for Family Medicine and all applicable Institutional Requirements. Lead the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC), Program Evaluation Committee (PEC), and annual program evaluation process.
Division Director: Provide strategic and operational leadership for the UC West Chester Residency division. Supervise and develop core faculty, including annual performance reviews.
Clinical Practice: Maintain 30% effort for direct patient care and 10% effort for supervision and precepting of residents and medical students in the continuity practice.
Minimum Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) in a related field.
- Completion of a 3-year Family Medicine Residency Program.
- Unrestricted Ohio Medical license and DEA license.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Minimum three years of clinical experience in family medicine.
- Demonstrated excellence in graduate medical education, curriculum design, teaching, resident advising, or program administration.
- Prior experience as a Program Director or Associate Program Director in an ACGME-accredited program.
