Position Overview
The Department of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences invites applications for two tenure-track positions in Cognitive Psychology. Candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in their area of expertise and contribute to the department’s growing interdisciplinary collaborations with STEM disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses related to the candidate’s area of expertise.
- Advise undergraduate psychology majors and/or graduate students (master’s and doctoral).
- Maintain an active research program and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Participate in departmental service and mentoring activities.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in a psychology subfield (specialization in Cognitive Psychology) by time of hire; ABDs are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to teach courses in research and expertise areas.
- Research-active with evidence of scholarly achievement.
- Commitment to advancing understanding of cultural and individual diversity.

- 12 full-time faculty, with strengths in cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience.
- Offers BA in Psychology, MA degrees in Counseling/Counseling Psychology and I-O Psychology, PhDs in Counseling Psychology (APA-accredited) and I-O Psychology.
- New MS program in Cognitive Psychology planned for Fall 2026.
- Provides experiential training through the Psychological Services Clinic and I-O consulting group (AROS).
