The Associate Athletic Director/Ticket Sales & Service will be responsible for developing an annual strategy to drive attendance and revenue for Villanova Athletics ticketed events. The Associate Athletic Director/Ticket Sales & Service will work in conjunction with numerous departments including Villanova Ticket Operations, Development, Marketing, and Strategic Communications, while planning and executing holistic ticketing campaigns via telephone, email, text message, and social media. This position must be well-versed in industry best practices and constantly evaluate ways to ensure that Villanova Athletics is best positioned to generate ticket revenue with an emphasis on full and partial season ticket plans, premium experiences, group tickets, and single-game ticket sales.

This position is an integral part of our revenue-generating efforts by developing strong account relationships through scheduled and strategic touchpoints, identifying opportunities to up-sell/cross-sell to our current client base, and contacting leads for new ticket sales through outbound sales efforts. The person in this role will recruit, hire, assist, train, and mentor team members on strategy, call scripts, and sales presentations. Similarly, he/she will oversee team members to ensure data is utilized to strategically track and analyze results of sales campaigns to maximize opportunities and efficiencies.

All duties must be performed in accordance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.

**The anticipated start date for this position will be June 1**

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversight of Team Members and Ticket Sales Efforts

  • Develop relationships with other departments within Villanova Athletics including Ticket Operations, Marketing, Development, and Strategic Communications to ensure a robust approach to all ticket sales efforts.
  • Create, develop, and execute plans to increase ticket sales revenue with an emphasis on full and partial season plans, group sales, premium experiences, and single-game sales.
  • Work with the Ticket Operations Department to create ticket sales timeline calendars with season ticket renewals dates, ticket on sale dates, etc.
  • Prospect for new business opportunities that will grow Villanova's season ticket and group client base.
  • Train and mentor team members on strategy, call scripts, and sales presentations.
  • Report on current ticket sales numbers.
  • Attain sales goals set by management.
  • Schedule team members to represent the Villanova Athletics Department at games, promotional events, etc.

Attend Games and Promotional Events

  • Work all home Football, Men's Basketball, and Women's Basketball games.
  • Represent Villanova Athletics at networking, promotional, and community events with the purpose of growing contact leads for ticket sales purposes.

Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Formal Education

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in marketing, sales, sports management, or a related field.

Work Experience

  • 6+ years of professional sales experience including a minimum of three (3) years management experience overseeing a sales staff.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects from concept through facilitation.

Work Skills (e.g., written and verbal communication skills)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively with staff and campus partners.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Data and analytics minded sales leader.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in support of Athletics events

Specific Job Knowledge

  • Familiarity with NCAA, BIG EAST, and Patriot League/Conference rules and University policies.

Equipment Knowledge

  • Proficient in CRM (Salesforce preferred) and ticketing software programs such as Paciolan.

Other

  • Interest in and knowledge of Villanova and its athletic programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Work Experience

  • Experience in professional/college sports, specifically related to season ticket sales, group sales, premium sales, or customer service/retention is preferred.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

  • Night and weekend work may be required.

Salary Posting Information

This position falls within salaried grade 18 and the range for this position is $119,700-$126,400. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
