Associate Clinical Therapist
The Associate Clinical Therapist, working alongside a licensed professional, will assess and treat individuals with mental illnesses or substance abuse disorder. Such services include individual and group therapy, outreach, crisis intervention, social rehabilitation and teaching skills for everyday living for patients of all ages (children, adolescents, adult and geriatric issues) in a behavioral health environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Master’s Degree in related field
- Must possess ONE of the following licenses as required by state board where services will be provided.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide psychosocial assessments of patients and families to identify emotional, social, and environmental strengths and problems related to their diagnosis, illness, treatment, and/or life situation.
- Assist in creating a comprehensive psychosocial treatment plan utilizing appropriate clinical social work treatments and interventions.
Additional duties include screening for mental health and substance abuse problems, assisting victims of abuse, maintaining knowledge of medical/legal issues, providing education, participating in multi-disciplinary teams, and documenting according to guidelines.
