AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Dean to drive its mission of delivering high-quality, student-centered education and advancing research and innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Support the Dean in shaping and implementing the college’s strategic vision and academic priorities.
- Assist in departmental and programmatic planning and preparations.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for faculty.
- Assist the Dean with various assignments and projects as needed.

1. Strategic Leadership
Demonstrates the ability to develop and execute academic strategies, guide institutional initiatives, and inspire faculty and staff toward shared goals.
2. Strong Academic and Administrative Expertise
Possesses a solid record in teaching, research, and academic service, combined with proven experience managing academic programs, accreditation processes, and faculty affairs.
3. Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Excels at building relationships, resolving conflict, and fostering open, collaborative dialogue with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
4. Commitment to Student-Centered Education
Advocates for high-quality learning experiences, student success initiatives, and inclusive academic environments that support diverse learners.
5. Innovative Mindset and Problem-Solving Ability
The individual contributes creativity, adaptability, and forward-thinking approaches to the development of curriculum, research opportunities, and operational challenges.
Education and Experience
Required Education: PhD in a discipline represented within the College of Arts & Sciences (e.g., humanities, social sciences, or a closely related field from an accredited and reputable institution.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of post-secondary teaching experience in a college/university setting.
Demonstrated Committee Chair, Program Coordinator or similar
Specific Skills or Expertise: Familiarity with the American higher education system and strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Additional Certifications: not required
