Program Overview
Yorkville University’s Business portfolio in Ontario includes the Bachelor of Business Administration (Project Management) and the Master of Business Administration (MBA), both designed to meet the needs of today’s learners and employers. The BBA (Project Management), offered on campus in Toronto, is a career-focused undergraduate degree designed to develop practical business skills and leadership capabilities, with curriculum aligned to professional certifications and industry standards. The program features flexible scheduling with four annual intakes and can be completed in as little as 2.5 years through year-round study. With small class sizes and mentorship opportunities, the program emphasizes real-world application, academic support, and career readiness for roles in management, entrepreneurship, and corporate leadership.
The MBA program, delivered online and on campus, is a flexible, career-focused graduate degree designed to empower professionals with the strategic, analytical, and leadership skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive global marketplace. The program supports working adults with year-round enrollment, multiple annual intakes, and the ability to graduate in as few as 2 years. The curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and global business strategy, taught by faculty with extensive academic and professional experience.
The Position
Reporting to the Dean of Business, Ontario, the Associate Dean of Business provides strategic academic leadership and operational oversight, advancing the mission, vision, and reputation of the BBA (Project Management) and MBA programs within Yorkville University and the broader academic community.
This role is accountable for curriculum design, faculty engagement, student success, and research initiatives, while ensuring the highest standards of academic governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. As a key member of the Campus Leadership Team, the Associate Dean fosters collaboration across disciplines, cultivates external partnerships, and champions innovative initiatives that enhance student outcomes, strengthen community engagement, and align with institutional priorities.
The Associate Dean also provides academic administration leadership, including the mentorship and support of program leaders, faculty, and students. By promoting a culture of academic rigor, inclusivity, and continuous improvement, the Associate Dean advances excellence in teaching, scholarship, and student achievement, while championing Yorkville University’s mission to transform lives through excellence and innovation in education.
The Ideal Candidate
While the Search Committee recognizes that no one candidate is likely to meet all the following qualifications in equal measure, they are desirable and will be used in the assessment of candidates for the position:
- Terminal degree in Business, Commerce, or a closely related discipline is required, complemented by relevant professional certifications (e.g. CPA, CFA, PMP), aligned with the area of specialization.
- Experience fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and integrating industry perspectives into program development.
- Leadership experience in postsecondary administration, including program development, accreditation processes, quality assurance, academic governance, and implementation of strategic priorities.
- Proven expertise in curriculum design and instructional innovation, with the ability to lead inclusive teaching practices across online, blended, and in-person modalities.
- Strong track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining diverse faculty, cultivating a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Demonstrated ability to engage alumni, advisory committees, and professional associations to advance strategic initiatives and strengthen community partnerships.
- Commitment to student success and learner-centered education, implementing initiatives that promote retention, completion, and career readiness.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills, with proficiency in educational technologies and Microsoft Office Suite to support effective operations.
- Recent applied research, scholarly activity, and publications considered a valuable asset.

- The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $155,000 per year
