Associate Dean of Educator Preparation Programs, WMC
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Associate Dean provides administrative oversight and leadership through the planning, direction, implementation, and evaluation of the Educator Preparation Programs department. Ensures that all departmental activities align with and promote institutional, divisional, and departmental visions. Maintains responsibility for supervision and management of the Educator Preparation Programs department including oversight of curriculum and instruction in the program areas of Early Childhood, Elementary, and Secondary Education, and Child and Family Studies. Provides management of department-administered grants and state funding, supervision of full-time and part-time faculty and staff, and oversight of departmental budgeting. As department needs dictate, may teach up to the equivalent of three load points per academic year. The Associate Dean provides service to the department, division, college, and community as assigned by the dean or selected by peers; develops good working relationships with discipline-related professionals in the College’s Service area; collaborates and participates in AZTransfer to foster transferability opportunities; serves as a community resource in areas of expertise; is active in their field, and travels within the College district.
