As the Associate Dean of Learning and Teaching, you will join a passionate team committed to innovation in teaching, cross-disciplinary projects and industry-engaged learning that prepares our diverse student community for impactful careers in fast-changing global sectors.

About the role

You will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of excellent teaching, learning and assessment across the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA).

As the institutional lead for learning, teaching and assessment, you will ensure the College meets the expectations of regulators and awarding bodies, upholding quality and maintaining robust assessment standards.

You will also contribute to the implementation of LCCA’s academic strategy, including work related to OfS registration and progress toward Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP).

Who we are looking for

As an inspirational academic leader with a deep passion for learning and teaching in HE, you will hold a higher degree in a relevant field, alongside significant teaching‑focused qualifications, including a minimum of Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) but ideally as a Senior Fellow (SFHEA). Critically, you will bring substantial experience in enhancing teaching quality, leading academic teams and driving improvements in assessment and learning practice.

With a strong working knowledge of OfS regulations and quality assurance, you must be able to combine strategic insight with hands‑on operational awareness.

We are looking for candidates who understand the diverse needs of widening‑participation cohorts and mature learners and will ensure consistently engaging, inclusive and responsive teaching approaches.

As a positive, student‑centred leader, you will be adept at nurturing large groups of new lecturers, quickly building capability, confidence and high‑quality practice across the institution.
