The University of Cambridge Development and Alumni Relations team is seeking an experienced major gifts fundraiser to support some of the University most important priorities. Reporting to the Director of International and Regional Programmes, this role focuses on securing philanthropic support from constituents across Asia, with a particular focus on East Asia.

At Cambridge, philanthropy enables world-leading research, education, and innovation that address global challenges. Working closely with leading academics and colleagues across the collegiate University, you will help connect visionary donors with initiatives that have the potential to create lasting global impact.

You will be joining a collaborative and high-performing advancement team committed to building meaningful partnerships that support Cambridge mission.

The Role

You will be an experienced fundraiser eager to secure significant philanthropic gifts. Collaborative, strategic, and innovative in approach, you will engage with high-net-worth individuals and senior colleagues across Collegiate Cambridge, as well as academics and other key stakeholders.

You will enjoy travelling frequently within the region and building long-term relationships with supporters inspired by Cambridge work and global impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic fundraising plan for your regional portfolio
  • Cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporate partners, and foundations
  • Inspire engagement and secure transformational philanthropic gifts
  • Collaborate with senior University leaders and academic partners to develop compelling philanthropic opportunities
  • Represent Cambridge and strengthen relationships across its global community of supporters
