About the Opportunity
Kalamazoo Valley is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Marketing to lead and implement college marketing strategies and programs. An additional responsibility of this position is to support the mission of the institution, abide by the policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the college, and promote positive student and customer relations.
Essential Job Functions
- Develops and executes college communication strategies in collaboration with senior management.
- Maintains internal client list and oversees the completion of marketing projects including promotional and public relations campaigns.
- Ensures compliance with college branding and identity guidelines.
- Manages three or more direct reports, participates in the hiring process, ensures appropriate onboarding, training, coaching and discipline, and through collaboration with the Human Resources Department, develops and implements effective supervisory practices.
- Oversees the implementation of campaigns through the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) related to student recruitment and retention.
- Coordinates production of promotional material for large scale college-wide events including engagement and oversight of designers, photographers and other staff.
- Collaborates with IT to ensure timely compliance, identifies and resolves CRM campaign issues and errors and assists with data generation for campaign management.
- Plans, develops and supports the budget development for projects and monitors expenses, assists with budget review and recommendations, report generation, data extraction, procedure and process analysis and compliance with internal reporting.
- Drafts, edits and distributes college-wide emails to both students, faculty and staff.
- Plans college social media content.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are required. An example of this would be a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as journalism or public relations, and four (4) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Physical Demands
The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Requires mental acuity including the ability to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, the ability to express ideas by means of the spoken word and have close visual acuity.

Monday- Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
