Associate Director of Student Accounts
Job Details
The Associate Director of Student Accounts supports the Director of Financial Aid and Student Accounts by managing the daily operations of student account functions. Responsibilities include overseeing billing, monitoring outstanding balances, coordinating the collection of tuition and fee payments, processing refunds, and ensuring funds are accurately applied and disbursed in a timely manner, and supervising support staff.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership and Management: Manage daily operations, supervise staff, implement policies, oversee collections, collaborate with departments.
- Billing and Payment Processing: Ensure accurate billing, oversee payments, manage payment plans.
- Collections and Delinquent Accounts: Oversee collection process, work with agencies.
- Financial Aid Coordination: Coordinate with Financial Aid and ABS.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service, develop communication strategies.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports, monitor trends.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with laws and policies.
- Technology: Experience with Jenzabar and PowerFaids.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Master’s Degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of direct supervision
- University student accounts experience of at least 3 years; private university preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge and ability to learn software packages, including PowerFaids, Jenzabar, and Microsoft Office.
