Salary Range: Up to $72,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Details
Job Summary
To provide direction and administrative oversight of the maintenance, repair, and custodial operations of the Student Union (SU). Responsible for creating a comprehensive facility management plan, including staff training and implementation; safe-guarding assets; and ensuring applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures are followed.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and detailed facility management plan for the Student Union (SU).
- Responsible for supervising SU facility maintenance and day-to-day housekeeping management.
- Oversee facility security, including card access, locks, and keys.
- Recruit, hire and supervise assigned full-time and student employees.
- Assist in SU policy development and implementation.
- Assist in identifying, planning, implementing, and evaluating improvements to SU operation and service that will appeal to a varied campus population and enhance students' Student Union experience.
- Assist with the preparation of facilities planning documents and serve as the liaison with the UTSA Office of Facilities for housekeeping, remodeling, and renovation projects.
- Implement and manage the SU emergency and risk management procedures by ensuring all professional and student staff and building tenants are trained in emergency protocol.
- Effectively manage assigned budgets for appropriate supplies and equipment replacement.
- Ensure superior customer service is provided to SU clients.
- Assist the SU in its support of the University's mission through student development initiatives.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive and detailed facility management plan for the Student Union.
- Assist in the coordination and management of technical installations, including hardware equipment and software.
- Serve on assigned various ad hoc and standing University committees.
- Coordinate and implement SU special exhibits and displays.
- Actively participate in related national and regional conferences and training opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of professional experience in facilities, college union, auxiliary service, or similar environment with one (1) year of experience in a student supervisory capacity.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with college students, faculty, and staff in a metropolitan university.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including customer service management.
- Understanding of the role of the college union as it relates to student development.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and planning skills.
- Knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment.
Working Conditions
- Normal office conditions with occasional evening and weekend hours when necessary.
- May involve work as a member of the skeleton crew during University holidays and inclement weather days.
Physical Demands
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
