Description

The Department of Physics at Yale University invites applications for a faculty appointment in the area of experimental Atomic, Molecular, and Optical physics, broadly defined. Applications will be considered at the tenured Associate Professor and Full Professor levels. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2025 or later by mutual agreement.

The newly appointed faculty member will join a dynamic group of experimentalists in AMO, quantum information, and other closely allied areas, and will also benefit from interactions with Yale’s world-class group of theorists in quantum many-body physics.

The successful candidate is expected to initiate a vibrant research group, teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels including but not limited to AMO and quantum science, and contribute broadly to the activities of the Physics Department. To promote diversity, the Department especially welcomes applications from women, persons with disabilities, protected veterans, and underrepresented minorities.
