As an Associate Lecturer in Music Theatre at VCA, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a world-class curriculum in theatre making, voice and movement training, acting, directing, writing, and dramaturgy. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of theatre education in the Asia Pacific region, working with undergraduate students and contributing to the artistic vision of the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Theatre) program. This role offers you the chance to blend your professional experience with academic pursuits, fostering innovation in theatre education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver Engaging Curriculum: Conduct tutorials, workshops, and seminars at the undergraduate level, contributing to the development of high-quality subject materials.
  • Foster Artistic Research: Contribute to VCA's artistic research programs and engage in professional development activities to inform your teaching practice.
  • Engage with the Theatre Industry: Participate in the professional arts sector, liaise with external networks, and develop collaborative partnerships to enhance the program's offerings.
  • Support Student Development: Provide consultation, marking, and assessment for students, contributing to their growth as theatre professionals.
