Academic ConnectAssociate Pro-Vice-Chancellor: Quality, Standards and Portfolio
* INTERNAL VACANCY - Opportunity open to existing academic Grade 9 / Grade 10 employees at the University of Leeds *
Reporting to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor: Student Education and Experience, you will provide institutional academic leadership to ensure that quality and standards are maintained across the taught student portfolio and active management and evolution of the taught education portfolio and curriculum at UG and PGT levels. This will be accomplished in collaboration with the Pro-Deans for Student Education, Pro-Deans International, senior Professional Services colleagues, Leeds University Union and colleagues across the University.
You will be responsible for oversight of the University’s assessment and degree classification processes, and for ensuring assessments are fit for purpose, authentic, rigorous and ensure academic standards with inclusivity and student success as key criteria. You will maintain oversight of the University’s key Student Education metrics, ensuring that interventions are put in place to address issues identified. You will be responsible for the University’s response to external bodies in relation to academic standards, and for the University’s TEF response.
You will be the academic lead responsible for the University’s quality assurance processes, working closely with the Student Education Service. You will ensure the University’s portfolio of taught programmes is actively managed. You will have academic oversight of the university’s partnerships, collaborations and accreditations for taught provision.
