Associate Professional Practice Professor or Professional Practice Professor
The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at The Ohio State University invites applications for a Professional Practice Professor candidate at the Associate Professor or Professor level in the area of Manufacturing Engineering. The position is teaching-focused, with the successful candidate expected to perform scholarly activities in related areas.
Performance Objectives:
- Contribute to teaching and scholarly activities in Mechanical and Integrated Systems Engineering programs related to Manufacturing Engineering.
- Participate in service to the university and the profession, focusing on education and professional practice.
- Teach and mentor students at undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Develop and support a portfolio of impactful scholarly activities.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Required: Doctorate or equivalent in Mechanical or Integrated Systems Engineering or related field; demonstrated scholarly impact; proven leadership, teaching, and mentoring skills; excellent communication skills; independence and innovative thinking.
- Desired: Experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly automotive; evidence of broad impact and funding in manufacturing education and research.
