"Associate Professor/Assistant Professor, Division of Artificial Intelligence"

Lingnan University is seeking an experienced Associate Professor/Assistant Professor for the Division of Artificial Intelligence (Post Ref.: 25/72).

Duties: The successful candidate will (1) conduct high-quality research in areas such as artificial intelligence, natural language processing, large language models, and computer vision; (2) secure external competitive research grants; (3) teach multiple subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in data science areas including industrial data sciences, blockchain, data sciences, and artificial intelligence; (4) work on promotions, admissions, and operations for undergraduate and postgraduate programs; and (5) contribute to other administrative duties as required.

General Requirements: Candidates should have (i) a doctoral degree in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, artificial intelligence, or information engineering; (ii) a strong publication record and outstanding citation counts; (iii) experience in applying for external grants and teaching relevant courses is advantageous; (iv) good command of English and Chinese (including Mandarin). For Associate Professor, six years of relevant experience in a tenure-track academic post is required. Candidates with less experience may be considered for Assistant Professor.

Appointment: Appointments are normally made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years, with competitive remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience. Subject to review, it may lead to longer-term appointment with possibility of substantiation.
