The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position
Department of Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology is a joint department of the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University and University Hospital Brno. In addition to providing medical care, it engages in educational, scientific, and research activities. In the field of teaching, the clinic primarily provides practical training in medical disciplines (hematology, oncology, internal medicine) as well as in other healthcare-related fields (embryology, nutritional therapy).

The scope of your work will be:
- participation in the education of students in Master’s and doctoral study programmes
- participation in final examinations/examination boards
- collaboration in the research and development activities of the department, including publishing and presenting research results (research areas: hematologic malignancies and predisposition to blood disorders)
Required qualification:
- completed university education in medicine or a biological science field
- completed education in a doctoral study programme
- habilitation in accordance with the Higher Education Act, as amended; this requirement may be substituted by long-term academic experience in an equivalent position abroad
- research experience in the field (biology, hematology, genetics), as well as teaching experience
- ability to conduct independent professional and scientific work (documented by previous publication activity)
- ability to actively participate in international conferences or professional seminars and to establish research collaboration with international partners
- active command of the English language
- excellent command of the Czech language, both spoken and written
- proactive approach, initiative, creativity, organisational skills, and willingness to pursue further education
- integrity and good moral character
