Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Hold a JD or equivalent degree.
- A doctoral degree, earned by the time of appointment or shortly thereafter, is preferred.
- Demonstrate a clearly established record of excellence in research and teaching.
- Have an established international reputation.
- Possess research and teaching expertise in Public Law, including but not limited to Administrative Law and Constitutional Law.
Evidence of Excellence in Research
Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence demonstrated through:
- A record of sustained high-impact contributions and publications in top-ranked and field-relevant journals.
- A research statement outlining current and future research interests.
- Presentations at significant conferences.
- Awards and accolades.
- Other noteworthy activities contributing to the visibility and prominence of the discipline.
- Strong endorsements from referees.
Evidence of Excellence in Teaching
Evidence of teaching excellence will be demonstrated through:
- Teaching accomplishments.
- A teaching dossier (including the required materials listed below).
- Strong letters of reference.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Sustain and lead innovative and independent research.
- Maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program.
- Undertake assigned teaching responsibilities.
- Contribute to faculty and university service.
Hiring Salary Range
- Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
- The upper end of the salary range exceeds CAD $200,000 per year.
