The Academy is seeking a distinguished music educator and accomplished performer for the position of Associate Professor of Practice in Music Performance and Pedagogy.

Responsibilities:

• Teach music performance courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;
• Maintain an active profile in professional performance and/or scholarly activities; and
• Collaborate across disciplines within the Academy and with colleagues across the University to further develop the Academy’s strengths in interdisciplinary research, teaching and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

• A doctoral degree in music or equivalent professional experience; and
• Collegiate-level teaching experience.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement, and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
