As Associate Professor, you will lead pioneering research and teaching initiatives, advancing the faculty’s vision for equity, access and excellence in education. You will develop and oversee innovative programs, guide the professional growth of colleagues, and contribute to the evolution of trauma-informed pedagogies across diverse educational contexts. With a strong international profile, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening partnerships, securing research funding, and influencing public and professional discourse, positioning the faculty as a leader in this critical field.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and advancing research in trauma-informed education by initiating innovative programs, publishing in high-impact outlets, securing competitive funding, and building strategic collaborations with national and international partners.
- Designing and delivering high-quality teaching and professional learning, including award programs and custom education initiatives, while supporting staff and students in developing trauma-informed educational practices.
- Providing academic leadership and mentorship by guiding early career researchers, supervising graduate students, promoting scholarly networks, and contributing to the faculty’s strategic growth in trauma-informed education and wellbeing initiatives.
- Strengthening engagement and partnerships with industry, government, and community sectors, contributing to public discourse, and championing diversity, inclusion, and Indigenous knowledge within the faculty and the wider education sector.

You will also:
- Hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral qualification in a discipline relevant to trauma-informed education.
- Possess an established international research profile with a substantial record of high-quality publications and success in securing external research funding.
- Demonstrate expertise in teaching and professional learning in trauma-informed education, including leadership in the design and delivery of innovative programs.
- Showcase proven experience in supervising graduate research, leading academic teams, and contributing to the advancement of scholarship in trauma-informed education.
