Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Tsukuba seeks applicants for the positions of Associate Professor or Assistant Professor in Applied Ethics (including ELSI) and Contemporary Ethics.
Work content and job description
- Teaching courses, including "Socratic Dialogue", in the Area of Contemporary Philosophy in the Division of Philosophy and Religious Studies and supervising senior theses at the College of Comparative Culture, School of Humanities and Culture
- Teaching courses on Ethics, including "Philosophical Practice", in the Philosophy Subprogram in the Humanities Degree Program (Master's and Doctoral Programs), Degree Programs in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and supervising master's and doctoral theses.
- Operational tasks related to the aforementioned educational organizations, as well as the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, and university-wide tasks.
