The dean of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, invites applications for job vacancy with a deadline for applications November 13, 2026
Job description:
- Contribution to research and publication activities in the above-mentioned areas of expertise within the scope of the Department of Social Work’s overall focus.
- Active participation in domestic and international conferences and other activities; collaboration in organizing international workshops, scientific conferences, expert discussions, and other activities.
- Contribution to the preparation and implementation of grant projects aimed at developing international cooperation.
- Teaching in the specified areas and other discipline-relevant subjects.
- Supervising and reviewing theses and dissertations.
- Contributing to other department activities, including the development of accredited degree programs.
- Salary grade: AP3 46,000 CZK per month or AP4 55,000 CZK per month

Qualifications
- Associate Professor or Professor in the field of social work, social policy, sociology, or other related fields, with expertise in the theories and methods of social work, supervision, counseling.
- Previous teaching, research, and other creative activities in the required field.
- Experience and practical skills in managing research or applied projects and grants.
- Candidates should be able to teach and publish academic results in either Czech or Slovak, as well as in English, or in English only.
