Associate Professor/Professor in Computational Oncology
The Scientific Computing and Imaging (SCI) Institute at the University of Utah is seeking an established researcher at the Associate or Full Professor level in an area that aligns with SCI's core research thrusts, including scientific, information, and biomedical visualization, image and data analysis, and interdisciplinary scientific computing, with demonstrated leadership in applications to Oncology.
This position is part of a new faculty Cluster in Computational Oncology (CCO), a collaboration between Huntsman Cancer Institute and the SCI Institute. The role involves leveraging advanced computing, data science, imaging, and visualization to solve problems in cancer research and care.
The successful candidate will help coordinate joint initiatives, proposals, and faculty recruitment between the SCI Institute and Huntsman Cancer Institute, including the Computational Oncology Research Initiative (CORI) and other Cancer Informatics initiatives. The faculty member is expected to become a Cancer Center member and may be considered for an adjunct position in the Department of Oncological Sciences.

Describe your vision for interdisciplinary, computational oncology research leadership within the context of the SCI Institute's mission, especially collaborations with researchers at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
