Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Faculty of Humanities of Kyushu University (Fukuoka, Japan) is accepting applications for the position of an Associate Professor (准教授).
Work content and job description
Courses to be Taught:
- Graduate Courses: Seminars in Japanese Modern and Contemporary Art and Architectural History; Research Methodology in Art History and the Humanities; Thesis Supervision; Career Development; and related courses.
- Undergraduate Courses in Japanese Art History.
Notes:
- In addition to the courses described above, the successful candidate may be required to teach some courses in the School of Letters, Foundations of the Humanities, and General Education Courses.
- Faculty members of the Graduate School of Humanities may also be assigned to teach courses in the Joint Graduate School of Digital Humanities, established on April 1, 2025.
- The overall teaching load shall be proportionate to that of the other faculty members in the department. Details will be negotiated after hire.
