Offer Description
Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Earthquake Research Institute aims to elucidate subsurface structures and their physical state in seismogenic and volcanic regions based on a variety of observations. In particular, the Institute aims to elucidate the relationship between the behavior of subsurface fluids and seismic and volcanic activity through the integrated analysis of resistivity structures and information obtained from seismology, geodesy, and volcanology.
Work content and job description
We seek an Associate Professor who will promote the development of advanced methodologies for observation and data analysis on high-precision electrical resistivity structures of seismogenic regions, while leading multidisciplinary research collaborations with other universities and research institutes. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the education and mentorship of early-career researchers through active engagement with research and graduate-level education.

- Annual salary: 6 million yen
- Wages description: Determined based on academic background, work experience, etc., with a salary increase system.
- Reference: Monthly salary of approximately 470,000 yen for those with a doctoral degree
