Associate Registrar - Records
Provides support, strategic direction, technical expertise, and supervision under the direction of the Registrar. The Associate Registrar consistently exhibits service, collaboration, and excellence as championed by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success.
- Directs personnel, establishes procedures, and plans courses of action for all services in the areas of Records and Registration, Catalog and Course Scheduling on the Statesboro and Armstrong campuses.
- Effectively gathers needs and/or concerns from constituents and evaluates those needs for possible solutions.
- Engages university stakeholders, makes decisions, manages campus departmental resources, partners with other campuses and departments to ensure consistent departmental practices and procedures.
- Works closely with the Registrar in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing the University's policies, processes, data management, and related systems.
- Provides critical leadership and is responsible for ensuring staff members are properly trained, supported, and meeting responsibilities.
- Assists in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, privacy, and security of all academic records in compliance with the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), federal and state laws as well as with university policy.
- Counsels students, faculty, and staff concerning academic requirements and university policies.
- Integrates technology solutions with sound business practices, communication, and training.
- Supervises the development and maintenance of multiple University calendars and calendar systems.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree; Demonstrated commitment to customer service; Five (5) or more years of full-time professional work experience that demonstrates the ability to lead, communicate, and manage systems and processes; Supervision of staff in a professional office environment; Demonstrated experience, comfort, and ability using, evaluating, and implementing technological solutions; Experience managing projects and working with cross-organization constituents.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree; Multiple years of experience working in a managerial role in higher education, preferably in a role working in the Office of Registrar; Experience working with the Banner information system, or other large-scale information systems; Experience working with Degree Works.
