The Specialist coordinates a variety of recruitment processes, including requisition and job posting management, candidate sourcing and screening, application review, interview coordination, candidate communications, and hiring and onboarding activities. The role also maintains accurate recruiting records, systems, and tracking tools to support data integrity and process consistency.
Serving as a primary point of contact for candidates and hiring managers associated with assigned searches, the Specialist provides guidance on established recruiting processes, workflows, and best practices. Working within defined Talent Acquisition procedures, the individual collaborates with and receives guidance from more experienced Talent Acquisition team members on complex or non-routine situations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career talent acquisition professional to build expertise in full-cycle recruiting while taking ownership of assigned recruitment activities that support Purdue Global's mission and growth.
This is a full-time, 100% remote position.
What You'll Be Doing:
Recruiting & Candidate Management
- Manage assigned requisitions throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and hiring activities.
- Review candidate qualifications and provide recommendations to support hiring decisions.
- Serve as a primary recruiting contact for hiring managers and candidates, ensuring timely communication and support.
- Develop and maintain recruiting resources, including interview templates, questions, and candidate materials.
- Support talent pipeline development through targeted sourcing and outreach efforts.
Requisition & Recruiting Operations
- Maintain requisition, candidate, and recruiting data in SuccessFactors and other Talent Acquisition systems.
- Audit and update requisitions, candidate records, tracking tools, and recruiting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support recruiting data collection, reporting, and workflow management, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Hiring & Onboarding Support
- Support candidates through the transition from recruitment to onboarding, ensuring hiring and onboarding activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain and update onboarding records, systems, and tracking tools, including Smartsheet, ALS, and related platforms.
- Monitor onboarding progress, follow up on incomplete information, and resolve routine discrepancies in recruiting and onboarding records.
Talent Acquisition & Purdue Global Support
- Build and maintain effective relationships with hiring managers, candidates, HR partners, and Talent Acquisition colleagues while providing guidance on recruiting processes and service standards.
- Support Talent Acquisition initiatives through recruiting projects, process documentation, data collection, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and resolve routine recruiting matters in accordance with established policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a closely related field.
- One (1) year of relevant experience in recruiting, recruiting support, human resources, career services, sales, customer service, or a related professional environment.
- An equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree.
Skills needed:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions, tasks, and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and information.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with candidates, hiring managers, and team members.
- Ability to learn and effectively use applicant tracking systems, spreadsheets, recruiting platforms, and other HR technologies.
- Foundational understanding of recruiting practices and the ability to apply established procedures to day-to-day recruiting activities.
- Ability to review candidate qualifications, conduct initial screenings, and communicate candidate information and recommendations to hiring managers.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment within established procedures and seek guidance on higher-complexity or non-routine matters.
- Ability to work effectively independently in a remote environment and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive candidate and employee information.
Nice to have:
- Experience supporting or managing recruiting, hiring, or onboarding activities.
- Experience reviewing resumes or applications against established qualifications and conducting candidate screenings.
- Experience working with an applicant tracking system, HR information system, or similar database.
- Experience with candidate sourcing using job boards, professional networking platforms, or social media.
- Experience maintaining spreadsheets, records, or tracking systems.
- Experience supporting a high-volume or geographically distributed workforce.
- Experience working in higher education.
