Asst/Assoc/Professor - Pediatric Endocrinology
The TTUHSC School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics in the Permian Basin specializes in health care for children of all ages. Our faculty physicians are committed to delivering high quality health care to children, as well as excellence in medical education. Serving the communities of the Permian Basin for over 20 years with a diverse patient population.
The TTUHSC Permian Basin Pediatric Residency is a new program based in Midland, Texas beginning in 2028, designed to address critical pediatric care shortages by training residents in general pediatrics and subspecialties like critical care, behavioral developmental, neonatology, adolescent medicine and endocrinology. Supported by a community investment, the program focuses on comprehensive, high-quality care with a focus on rural health.
Major/Essential Functions
- Diagnose and treat hormonal, metabolic and growth disorders in adolescents;
- Manage general, complex and rare conditions in adolescents;
- Educate families and adolescents on managing conditions and adjusting lifestyles;
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team; and
- Participate in the education of students and residents.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO/MBBS;
- Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3;
- Completed, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Residency in Pediatrics;
- Completed, or in process of completing, a Fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology; and
- Board Eligible, or in the process of completing training, in Pediatric Endocrinology.
