St. Catherine University and the School of Nursing invite applications for a full-time, 11-month faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program.

This PMHNP faculty position is responsible for developing and delivering didactic and clinical DNP nurse practitioner curriculum to graduate nursing students.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Didactic and/or clinical teaching of PMHNP students
  • Delivers hybrid DNP curriculum including supporting simulations, core graduate and core NP courses, and mentoring DNP quality improvement projects
  • Participate in scholarly activities, professional activities, and service obligations aligned with the School of Nursing norms for evaluation of professional practice faculty. Integrate clinical practice into teaching.
  • Serving on committees and/or task forces and participating in School of Nursing governance to support the curriculum and projects of students, faculty, and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in nursing
  • Two years of clinical experience as a psychiatric mental health practitioner.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Current unencumbered RN and APRN licenses in Minnesota
  • Current PMHNP Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate degree in nursing (DNP or PhD)
  • Experience with graduate-level nursing education
  • Experience teaching and mentoring diverse student populations

Compensation: The salary range is $95,800-$105,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
