Job Description
This role will require significant interaction with a multidisciplinary team of individuals, including medical and administrative personnel. Collect appropriate history, performs physical exam, orders diagnostic tests and formulates diagnosis and treatment plans. Provides health counseling.
Timely completion of all training courses required by hospital/trauma program including Code of Conduct course and coding courses.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of residents and medical students and will be expected to active participants in the Department's residency training and educational programs and well versed in educational experience of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows.
Responsibilities
Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate high level administrator of a State University. Responsible for teaching, service, and related activities. May be responsible for research and /or academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
Qualifications
Must hold or be eligible for a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent required. To perform this position, the candidate will need to obtain and maintain a full un-restricted FL Medical License, maintain credentials in the USF Health faculty practice plan, and be a medical staff member in good standing at the hospitals he/she is assigned to perform clinical duties. The candidate will participate in the teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical medicine.
Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, Full Professor
