The University of Arizona Athletics Department invites you to apply to the role of the Athletic Trainer. This is an opportunity to build upon and develop practical experience in athletic training and hone skills that play a critical role in the methodology of the Sphere of Influence. The successful candidate must be extremely driven, a self-starter, exceptionally organized and still present a self-effacing demeanor. This position will have the opportunity to work with other athletic trainers, weight room staff, psychologist, dietitian, and medical staff.
This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel as needed.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prevention of athletic injuries and illnesses.
- Assist with first aid and emergency care for student-athletes during practices and competitions.
- Assist with injury management, and emergency care for acute injuries, ensuring the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
- Evaluate and treat athletic injuries and assist with injury prevention programs.
- Assist the athletic trainers with daily treatment and rehabilitation of student-athletes to promote optimal recovery and functional restoration for injured student-athletes.
- Assist with the coverage of the athletic training room; including the coordination and scheduling of medical coverage for home and away competitions.
- Assist the athletic trainers with medical record keeping.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, injury reports, treatment logs, and progress notes for student-athletes, adhering to HIPAA and regulations and institutional policies.
- Budget accountability.
- Additional duties as assigned.
