Job Summary:

UK HealthCare Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Athletic Trainer.

Your primary focus will be the daily medical coverage, injury prevention, assessment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play planning for athletes within the university’s athletics system. You’ll act as a liaison between players, coaches, and healthcare professionals to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of athletes.

Additional duties include:

  • Managing medical documentation and injury tracking.
  • Coordinating with UK HealthCare’s physicians and rehabilitation specialists for athlete referrals.
  • Assisting with emergency planning and response protocols at training and match facilities.
  • Promoting education and awareness regarding injury prevention and performance optimization.
  • Supporting event coverage and medical operations for events and teams as needed.
