The Athletics Systems Administrator assists the Athletic Director with event management, NJCAA and Region IX operational compliance, student worker coordination, facility readiness, championship hosting, and works collaboratively with Information Technology Services (ITS) to ensure technology is operated and maintained in accordance with enterprise systems, cybersecurity, networking, GCCD technology governance, and equipment lifecycle standards. Essential Functions (Employees of the District must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, the essential functions of the position as detailed in this section.) Provide operational and audiovisual support with production systems for all athletic contests, institutional and community events. Serve as a primary point of contact for game day operational and technology needs. Manage live event workflows for video, audio, streaming, replay, scoreboard, digital signage, and show control systems in accordance with conference and NJCAA requirements. Assist with the facilitation and execution of game day operations, including staffing, timelines, and event logistics. Operate and support TriCaster broadcast and Daktronics systems. Collaborate with institutional personnel to set up and tear down events and ensure athletic facilities are prepared. Maintain game day operating procedures, event checklists, schedules, and related documentation. Support game presentation, promotional activities, sponsorship fulfillment, digital advertising, and fan engagement initiatives. Escalate specialized technology issues to ITS or appropriate vendors when necessary. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues in real time, and coordinate event-specific technical configurations. Configure, test, update, and document game-day technology systems, control room equipment, and production workflows, including preventive maintenance, inventory management, equipment repairs, vendor support, and warranty services. Train and supervise student employees supporting athletic event operations and game day production. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users regarding event and technology requirements. Participate in facility inspections. Communicate maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel. Assist with emergency action planning and event safety procedures within athletic department processes. Assist the Athletic Director with NJCAA and Region IX operational compliance, including eligibility support, contest documentation, roster management, statistical reporting, championship hosting requirements, and operational recordkeeping as assigned. Assist the Athletic Director with department projects, scheduling, event planning, and other administrative responsibilities. Contribute to the overall success of Gillette College Athletics by performing all other essential duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Employees of the District are required to possess a minimum proficiency level of English, both written and spoken, that will enable them to communicate safely, effectively, and efficiently with students, co-workers, and the public.) Associate degree AND three years' experience OR Bachelor's degree AND one year experience. Acceptable degrees: Information Technology, Multimedia Production, Audiovisual Technology, Sports Management, Athletic Administration, Communications, Event Management, or a related field Acceptable experience: athletic operations, audiovisual systems, event production technology, live streaming, technology support, collegiate athletics, event management, or a closely related environment. Demonstrated experience operating or supporting audiovisual, broadcast, livestreaming, or event production technology. Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and irregular schedules as required by athletic contests and institutional events. Any combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree AND five years' experience Experience with TriCaster production systems, Daktronics scoreboards and video boards, Show Control, digital signage, audio/video production, replay systems, livestreaming, or comparable event technologies. Knowledge of basic networking, cybersecurity best practices, and network-connected production equipment. Relevant technology or audiovisual industry certifications such as CTS, Dante, AVIXA, CompTIA, or equivalent. Experience working within intercollegiate athletics. Knowledge of National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and Region IX rules, regulations, reporting requirements, and championship operations. Experience with athletic statistics software and game management systems. Experience coordinating tournaments, championships, or large public events. Audiovisual production, live streaming, video production, audio routing, replay workflows, and event technology. Scoreboard, video board, digital signage, and show control systems. Computer hardware, operating systems, peripherals, and basic networking. Network-connected production equipment and cybersecurity best practices. Facility operations, event logistics, customer service, and event safety. Preventive maintenance, equipment inventory, and technology lifecycle management. Ability to: Organize and manage multiple operational priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Remain calm, professional, and solution-focused while responding to operational or technology issues. Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, coaches, employees, administrators, officials, vendors, and community partners. Exercise sound judgment and work independently. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive institutional and student information. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
