Townsville University Hospital is seeking an Attending Dermatologist to join our dedicated Dermatology team. Available on a full-time or part-time basis, with hours negotiable, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-quality specialist dermatology services while helping shape the future of dermatologic care across North Queensland.
Working primarily in an outpatient setting, you will provide specialist assessment and management for patients with a broad range of skin conditions, from common presentations to complex and challenging cases. The role also includes performing dermatologic procedures and contributing to multidisciplinary patient care.
Located in tropical North Queensland, Townsville offers a diverse case mix, with opportunities to develop expertise in tropical and infectious dermatology. The service is continuing to expand, including the establishment of a clinical trials unit, providing opportunities to participate in research and clinical trials. Strong links with James Cook University further support academic, teaching and research pursuits.
As a senior member of the team, you will play an important role in the supervision, education and mentoring of doctors-in-training, contributing to the development of the next generation of medical practitioners.
