AU Research Storyteller (Student)
The AU Research Storytellers program empowers students to create engaging multimedia content such as YouTube videos, Instagram stories, and blog posts that will be featured across American University's research digital platforms. Participants in this program will work closely with an award-winning communications executive who has over 15 years of experience in developing impactful creative content, dynamic video storytelling, and strategic messaging for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and public sector leaders.
Storytellers will meet in person on a weekly basis to pitch story ideas and monthly themes, workshop content, and provide constructive feedback to one another. This program offers a unique opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in research communications, enhance their storytelling skills, and help elevate the voice of research at AU.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Part-time, 10 hours per week
Salary Range: $18.00 hourly
Required Education and Experience: Can pitch story ideas and monthly themes, Able to create content for YouTube, Instagram, blogs & more, Able to meet weekly in-person to brainstorm and share feedback
