Audiologist
- Provides comprehensive audiologic evaluations for pediatric and adult patients.
- Performs diagnostic testing including audiometry, immittance measures, otoacoustic emissions (OAEs), and auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing.
- Applies evidence-informed practices to select, program, verify, and manage hearing aids and assistive listening devices and prepares related purchase agreements.
- Conducts cochlear implant candidacy evaluations.
- Collaborates with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams, performs cochlear implant activation, and provides ongoing follow-up care.
- Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Provides occasional supervision and support to graduate-level speech-language pathology students within the clinical setting.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Experience with Audiologic evaluations for pediatric and adult patients.
- Experience with hearing aid selections, fittings, verification, and management.
- Experience with Cochlear implant candidacy evaluations.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately and ethically document patient encounters in compliance with state and local laws.
- Fully licensed to practice Audiology in the state of Michigan.
