Job Summary
Serve as a member of an audit team assigned to operational and financial audits of various campus organizations. Level of assignment is normally considered moderate to complex. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: members of the campus community. This position typically will advise and counsel: Director and Associate Director of Internal Auditing, as well as members of management and Auditor I position. This position will supervise: NA.
Responsibilities
- Conduct moderate to complex audits of financial transactions and related records in accordance with the audit plan.
- Conduct operational reviews to ensure compliance in accordance with policies and procedures, as well as laws and applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Design detailed test procedures for applicable audit area.
- Writing and executing programs to provide audit assurance, compliance, internal control reviews and consultations.
- Prepare and document working papers in sufficient detail to outline procedures performed and results obtained and draft audit reports.
- Lead communications with management including opening and closing conferences and communicate recommended changes in operations and financial activities.
- Train less experienced audit staff on audit procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications
Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Public Accountant or equivalent
Required Experience
Three to five years of job related experience
Proposed Salary
$63,303.00 Min - $86,091.00 MRP
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
This job requires working knowledge of financial and management auditing principles and practices. Skills in communications, providing work guidance and presentation are required as is use of office, accounting and other specialized computer software.
