Duties/Responsibilities:
- General ledger reviews for various general ledger accounts, including but not limited to depreciation expense, salaries/fringe benefit expense, FMD charges including Utilities and other Direct Charges. (30%)
- Assistance and maintenance of monthly financial analysis review that includes fluctuations (actuals vs. budgets and current year actuals vs. prior year actuals). (30%)
- Understanding and ability to perform reconciliations for various accounts (Prepaids, Inventory, Unearned revenue) and assistance of journal entry initiation, as assigned for monthly and fiscal year end. Including adjusting, correcting, reclassifications, etc. (20%)
- Validation & verification of monthly financial statement (progress reports) and other financial reports, as assigned. (15%)
- Conduct and document camera/cash audits, as assigned. (5%)

Position Summary: The student will support the review and audit of general ledger details by verifying them against supporting documentation, assisting with explaining the financial statement fluctuations between actuals and budget, while demonstrating a strong attention to detail. Also, students will assist with performing reconciliations for various areas (Asset/Liability, Revenue & Expense related) as well as assist with journal entry preparation and participation in the month-end close process.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position: Accounting/Finance, and related business field. Current student in the Tull School MAcc graduate program.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Must have proficient, effective and clear writing/communication skills
