Internal salary: Range 21 - $63,833.23 - $102,164.26
External salary: Range 21 - $63,833.23 - $73,415.99

**Position Overview:**
The qualified AV Support Technician will be well rounded and experienced in commercial Audio/Visual systems. The technician will perform their duties by conducting rack building, system cabling/wiring and equipment placement and mounting in accordance with the system diagram.
This individual should have strong industry knowledge of best practices and installation standards consistent with manufacturers specifications.
**Responsibilities:**
- Lead/Assist with installation of AV technology in TCN facilities in accordance with AVIXA AV standards.
- Lead/Assist with installation and support of campus wide digital signage system.
- Evaluation and implementation of new technologies to enhance campus AV infrastructure.
- Provide high quality customer support to technology enhanced spaces and campus community.
- Execute required work to complete installation and commissioning of assigned AV projects.
- Assist/Lead with providing AV production services with campus events.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications:**
**Required:**
- CTS with minimum 2 years.
- AVIXA CTS with 2 years experience.
- Hands-on installation or prior project coordination experience.
- Knowledge of current products and trends in audio, video, show control, and/or related industry.
- Ability to create, read, and edit contracts, schedules, budgets, A/V drawing packages, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with AV techniques and industry best practices. Knowledgeable in the use and integration of large scale commercial AV systems.
- Proficient in MS Windows, MS Office, Mac OS.
- Familiarity with computer networking, (LANS, IP Connections, Router Configuration).
- Experienced with Crestron Digital Media, BiAmp, BSS, QSC.
- Familiarity with modifying, updating Crestron programs, firmware, and user touch panels.
- Experience with live event production services, audio mixing, video switchers, etc.
- Experience with installation of AV technology and AVIXA standards.
- Experience with technical support in an academic environment.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Knowledge of and experience in commercial construction standards is strongly preferred.
