Behavior Technician
Florida Institute of Technology is currently searching for a Behavior Technician for the Scott Center for Autism Treatment. This is a full-time position.
Primarily responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor (BCBA). Provides support and training to graduate and undergraduate interns and practicum students. Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work directly with clients and trainees (graduate practicum students; undergraduate interns) as assigned for 25 hours per week. 15 hours per week for indirect work related to client programming, including graphing, writing treatment notes, and reports
- Work across multiple settings (home, school, clinic)
- Parent training
- Billing and Electronic Health Records (EHR) reconciliations
- Assist with individualized assessment procedures (e.g. VB-MAPP), assist with social skills groups, or other program areas as assigned
- Additional duties as assigned
Education/Skills required:
- High school diploma
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Successfully complete a criminal background registry check at the time of application (within 45 days of submitting the application)
- Complete a 40-hr training program (to meet basic competency to work with a client) provided by the agency
- Pass the RBT exam delivered through the BACB
- Experience with young children and children with developmental disabilities, including ASD, preferred
