BILLING ANALYST (NURSE FAMILY PARTNERSHIP GREATER AL)(PART-TIME ~ 20 HRS./WK)

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a PART-TIME BILLING ANALYST-NURSE FAMILY PARTNERSHIP GREATER AL to coordinate billing, collection, compliance and education of coding and billing issues for UAB Nurse Family Partnership of Greater Alabama.

Key Duties Responsibilities:

1. Manages billing and collection activities.
2. Collects and analyzes billing and collection data. Monitors reimbursements and coordinates third party claims activities.
3. Collaborates with hospital partners and external agencies to ensure regulatory requirements are achieved and that health insurance coverage is properly assessed.
4. Serves as the point of contact with carrier for planning and to resolve any issues as they arise.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.

(Hourly Rate: $20.80 - $33.80)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
