Overview
Students in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology program from Oregon Health & Science University will obtain theoretical and practical understanding of both how and why biophysical principles dictate observed biological phenomena, at the molecular level.

General Requirements
A baccalaureate degree or equivalent, from an accredited U.S. academic institution, or equivalent international institution in chemistry, physics or one of the biological, medical sciences.
A cumulative 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale for all undergraduate courses, or equivalent.
Prior research experience (recommended minimum: 24 months) and your records must reflect adequate undergraduate training to do graduate work in your chosen field.
In addition to meeting the general requirements, coursework in organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, and genetics are strongly recommended, and should be at least 300 level (3rd year; junior level).
Fees and Funding
Living Costs
Oregon, United States 1,466-2,418 AUD / month. The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
Funding
Graduate Students enrolled full time and in good academic standing receive a monthly stipend, health insurance, access to the March Wellness Center and tuition & fees are paid. The 2015 annual stipend range currently is $27,000-$28,500.
