Biochemistry-Metabolism/Omics Specialist

The Department seeks an investigator with expertise in biochemistry and contemporary omics/multi-omics approaches. Areas of interest may include, but are not limited to, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and integrative multi-omics approaches relevant to human health and disease.

The successful candidate is expected to develop or maintain an independent and externally funded research program; contribute to the Department's undergraduate, graduate, and medical teaching missions, particularly in core biochemistry; supervise and mentor MS and PhD students; participate in collaborative and interdisciplinary research within the Department, Faculty of Medicine, and University; and contribute to departmental and institutional service.

Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree with appropriate postdoctoral training in the fields of metabolism and omics. Prior academic faculty appointments and an established record of research productivity, external funding, teaching, and graduate student supervision and mentorship are required. Candidates should demonstrate the potential to develop or maintain an independent research program and contribute effectively to the Department's teaching, research, and service missions.
