Offer Description

Develop and carry out biomass gasification and pyrolysis experiments for the production of bio-carbons and synthesis gas. This position is part of the NEWIRON (PEPR SPLEEN) project which proposes to urgently explore and implement new and sustainable routes for iron manufacturing over the coming decades. Through the NEWIRON project, we aim to study the replacement of C with hydrogen-containing gases, produced via renewable sources, to serve as reducing agents for iron minerals.

Experiments on laboratory scale (g) and pilot scale (kg/h) in fluidized bed. Material balance and analysis/characterization of products.
