Offer Description
Activities and context: Processing and characterization of inorganic amorphous materials, including silicate glasses. Sample preparation and TEM/STEM experiments using nanometer-sized electron beams. Development of correlative protocols for ePDF and fluctuation microscopy (FM) data acquisition and analysis, focusing on middle-range order (MRO), as well as interpretation of results and collaboration with CEMol teams and partner institutions.
Mandatory requirements: PhD in Materials Science or related fields; proven experience in transmission electron microscopy (TEM/STEM) and/or advanced image-processing techniques; proficiency in programming and in the application and development of software and computational tools for scientific data analysis.
Desirable requirements: Knowledge and experience in structural analysis of glasses, amorphous materials, or nanomaterials will be considered an advantage. Experience with ePDF, fluctuation microscopy (FM), electron microscopy data analysis, nanoscale structural characterization, or the development of computational methods and tools for materials characterization will also be valued.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality.
