AUT’s Brand and Marketing Services team leads the university’s brand stewardship and marketing strategy. We deliver coordinated, insight‑driven campaigns and communications that strengthen AUT’s reputation and support student recruitment, engagement and long‑term connection. Working closely with faculties and professional services across the university, the team brings together insight, creativity and digital skills to deliver consistent experiences tailored to the needs of our audiences – from first enquiry through to enrolment, graduation and beyond.
The Opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
We’re looking for a highly organised, collaborative Brand Account Executive to support the delivery of AUT’s creative and marketing work. In this role, you’ll manage a steady flow of client requests, ensuring projects run smoothly, meet brand standards and are delivered on time.
You’ll work closely with designers, content creators and website specialists to bring AUT’s brand story to life across campaigns, events, sponsorships and university‑wide communications. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong long-term relationships, solving problems and helping clients navigate creative processes with ease. You’ll report to the Brand Director and play a key part in supporting AUT’s in‑house account management function.

We’re looking for someone who is a natural relationship‑builder with strong communication skills and a proactive, “can‑do” mindset. You can juggle multiple projects at once, stay calm under pressure, and confidently guide clients and suppliers through creative and production processes. Your collaborative nature, positivity, and ability to get things done will be key to your success in this role.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least three years’ experience in account management or a similar client‑facing role
- Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholder needs
- Excellent organisational and multitasking capability
- Proven project‑coordination skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Broad knowledge across graphic design, advertising, digital/web, marketing and communication
