Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Broadcasting Coordinator, Sport to join QUT Sport, People Services, Administrative Division.

The Broadcasting Coordinator, Sport is responsible for establishing and delivering QUT Sport’s Broadcasting program. This includes creating high-quality, real-world opportunities for students to plan, produce and distribute live coverage of sporting events. The role leads the operational development and delivery of the program—including student pathways and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placements, workforce planning for student crews, budget management, risk and compliance frameworks, stakeholder engagement, technology standards, and reporting. The position will work across both Kelvin Grove and Gardens Point campuses, as well as external venues on occasion. Working closely with the Sport Operations Coordinator and partnering with QUT Faculties, sporting clubs and industry, the Coordinator will design and implement the program framework (from onboarding and training through to live event delivery and postproduction), ensuring sound planning and execution that supports student outcomes, brand and content quality, and operational sustainability.

We’re offering this role as a hybrid position as part of QUT’s commitment to embracing the opportunities created by a more virtual and connected world.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a degree in media/broadcast production, communications, sport management or a related discipline, with subsequent relevant experience in live event production or program coordination.
